Open since 1999, Minima is Philadelphia’s premier design showroom featuring contemporary furniture, lighting, and home accessories. The carefully curated collection includes works from the world’s leading designers and architects, as well as local artisans. The transformative power of form, function, and material is illustrated in vignettes simulating an intimate home environment. Minima is driven by the principle that quality products create inspiring living spaces that enrich and fulfill lives.
Founder Eugenie Perret and co-owner Michael Schmick believe in the power of design. Her consummate passion for art and architecture stems from a childhood in Istanbul, a city with influences from both near and far, East and West. His previous career as a product and furniture designer provides a focused approach on translating client vision into meaningful design expression. Their talent, training, and experience inform Minima’s mission to provide a full-service design resource for both design professionals and private individuals.
Customizable Storage Systems
Known for their attention to detail and precision, Porro started in the 1920s as a family-owned furniture business in Italy. Today, the Porro family still heads the company aided by lead designer Piero Lissoni. Porro revels in their identity as the top maker of customizable storage systems and case goods.
